The Run Amuck is a 3.5 mile obstacle course which is part of the Marine Corps Marathon Series and guarantees to get participants dirty! The race this year featured ridiculous amounts of mud, water-filled obstacles and crawls, in addition to some exercise stations scattered throughout.  With over 3,000 runners, there was a strong showing and no shortage of great moments to capture.  Below are just a few of my favorite photos from the event.

Today, after months of work, I am happy to unveil the new design for the main website and blog!!

This new design is more than just an aestethic make over for the website, in fact, the website now is integrated with some of the most powerful tools available today. These tools will assist me in basic functions such as creating slideshows on the blog and keeping the portfolio up to date while also ensuring maximum cross-browser compatibility (meaning the website and blog are now viewable on more browsers and mobile devices than previously). In addition there is a load of new content on the website – some of which will be posted in the coming weeks – which will help both my former and future clients get to know me better, gain insight on my creative process, and learn about and explore the variety of sessions I offer.

I would love to hear your thoughts about the redesign, things you like and don’t, and any functionality you may like to see added at a later point.  In the meantime, I’ll be updating the blog over the next week with some awesome shoots I’ve done in the past few weeks! I hope you enjoy the new site and because I can’t bring myself to updating the blog without a photo, here’s one I snapped of the pirate guarding Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium at one of my Alma Maters, East Carolina University.

Having known Jason & Julie for a few years, this wedding was very special for me and I knew coming into it I would have a great working relationship with them both.  I also got the pleasure of seeing the wedding site a few weeks ago and I knew it would make for some stunningly beautiful shots.  Neither the location nor Jason & Julie disappointed!  Here’s a few photos from the day and I promise more will be forthcoming soon! Congratulations again Jason & Julie!

We are extremely excited about the new opportunities available in this area and we look forward to serving you all  in the coming years!

You’ve also probably noticed that we have a new homepage which has been completely redesigned.  The new design should make it even easier to navigate the site, view our portfolio, and get it contact with us.  Over the coming weeks, we will be redesigning and integrating the client proofing and blog into a newer design. Feel free to leave a comment or contact us should you have any suggestions or comments about the new design!

Finally, we were in Washington DC this past weekend and paid a visit to the National Zoo.  While there I got a few cool shots and thought, to commemorate our move, I’d share them with you all! Hope you enjoy!

In the meantime, the beautiful weather this past week in Greenville made me recall a great vacation my wife and I had to the Outer Banks last year. During our time there I talked her into letting me take some photos and this is one of my favorites of the tallest lighthouse in the United States, the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.
