A few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to get to share the big day with Damon & Jill as they said “I Do” at Fort Belvoir.  It turned out to be a beautiful day and wedding and we ended up with some great shots! Congratulations Damon & Jill and thank you again for letting me share the day with you both!

About a month ago I photographed Brian & Emily’s beautiful wedding that led us from Falls Church down to the banks of the Occoquan in Woodbridge.  It turned out to be a beautiful day and in addition to some great entertainment, I also think that this might be my favorite bouquet toss and ring photos ever! Congratulations Brian and Emily and thank you again for letting me share the day with you both!

A few months back I got to spend some time with Jordan & Christina for a few couple photos taken at their Alma Mater, Howard University.  We had a beautiful day, an awesome couple, and ended up with some awesome photos!

It’s funny that a year ago, almost to the day, I was strolling through Old Town with Shane and Sarah shooting their engagement photos.  It was clear then, as it was during their wedding, that they are the perfect fit for each other.  I had a blast spending the day with them both and their friends and families. And let’s be honest, who could possibly not enjoy a wedding where the Bride and Groom are rocking Chucks?

I’m just a few weeks/months behind on blogging so over the next few weeks the blog is going to be super-charged with fresh updates and photos! First up, is the wedding of Jesse & Jessica which I had the chance to photograph over Labor Day weekend a few months back.  They had a beautiful ceremony at the Lakeside at Fort Richie in Cascade, MD which provided a perfect backdrop for their big day.  Look carefully, you might even notice a few familiar faces flipping from a wedding earlier this year!

Back in late July I had the opportunity to travel down to the beautiful Natural Bridge to shoot Vince & Teresa’s Wedding.  You might recall that Vince & Teresa were the lucky winners of my 2011 Valentine’s Day Wedding Giveaway and their big day was nothing short of extraordinary.  Thank you both for allowing me to capture the day and congratulations!

A month or so ago I had the opportunity to spend the day in Bristow, VA to photograph Zach & Sam’s wedding day. It was a crazy day weather wise, with on and off again rain, but despite some last minute resets, the day went off without a hitch! Congratulations again to Zach and Sam and thank you again for letting me share your special day with you both!

A few weeks ago I got to spend some time with Vince & Teresa down by the C&O Canal in Georgetown. You might recognize this couple as they were the lucky winners of my Valentine’s Day Wedding Giveaway back in February and shooting these photos just reaffirmed why they won.  They are a beautiful couple and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding day which is coming up next month! Thank you again Vince & Teresa for a great session!

I’m a little behind on blogging but I did want to show off some of these beautiful engagement photos I took a few weeks ago of this couple. I’ve known Zakk & Nikki for around a year since I moved to DC and when they asked if I would take their engagement photos I believe my exact words were “heck yeah!” I had a great time exploring some new areas of DC with them and I can’t even begin to explain how many times throughout the session we all were laughing and having a good time. Thank you both again for a great session and congratulations again on the engagement!

It goes without saying that one of the “job hazards” of being a photographer is that their is always a chance for weather to change plans completely.  Saturday’s forecast called for thunderstorms throughout the day but upon arriving to the venue, the historic Mimslyn Inn, it was clear that someone was watching over this couple.  They got the wedding of their dreams, outside, in the heart of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley and the sun even managed to peek out for a few minutes during a moving In Memoriam part of the ceremony.

Once the ceremony was over, the guests were treated to a performance by DC based Entertainer, Ted Garber, who, by the way, is an amazing musician! From there, Josh & Kelly’s friends and family took over, providing some toasting, dancing, and a whole lot of great moments throughout the night! Thank you Josh & Kelly for giving me the opportunity to document your truly awesome wedding and congratulations once more!
